Brighton Jive Promotions
Rock'n'roll / Jive / Swing - Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced 1940s and 50s style jive dancing courses held in Brighton and Worthing, Sussex. No previous experience is required, and people can join with or without a partner. The teachers are Janneke Saebo and Colin Tenn, who have been running classes and events since 1999, and have danced in films such as The Last of the Blonde Bombshells, Last Orders, Lucky Jim, The 1940s House and the soon-to-be-released Piccadilly Jim. Brighton Jive Promotions also run twice-monthly dance called Kalamazoo in Brighton for up to 200 jivers, and the annual Rhythm & Blues Revue in Worthing. All dances are open to the public.
Dance troupe The Brighton Jive Dancers are available for bookings for private parties, festivals and corporate events, where a lesson and show can be incorporated into the evening. 1940s and 50s-themed evenings are a speciality.
